Part Care & Warranty
CARE OF YOUR PLATED PARTS

Unlike factory production plating, we plate your parts with the highest quality materials available.
The result is a deep, high-luster, show-quality finish. Use the following guide to care for your newly plated parts

CHROME: A good non-abrasive chrome polish keeps parts clean. Deterioration begins with dirty parts.

GOLD: Clean parts with a soft tissue and Windex. DO NOT RUB EXCESSIVELY, gold is delicate and excessive rubbing can cause discoloration.

SILVER: Clean parts with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive silver polish.

CARE OF YOUR POLISHED ONLY PARTS
Nassau Chromium recommends you polish your POLISHED ONLY parts often using a non-abrasive soft cloth and a non-abrasive wax cleaner (100% carnauba) such as Mother’s or McGuire’s.

The part must be returned to us with a copy of the original invoice. This warranty does not apply to plating that has been misused or abused. The warranty covers a period of one (1) year from the date the part was originally processed, not from the date installed. We pay no disassembly and/or assembly costs. This is a one (1) year limited warranty. No other warranty is either expressed or implied.

GOLD
Gold is guaranteed to be free from defective workmanship to the original purchaser. Under this warranty the part will be reprocessed, at our option, without charge for plating. The part must be returned to us with a copy of the original invoice. This warranty is limited to show cars only! The warranty covers a period of six months from the date the part was originally processed, not from the date installed. This is a six month limited warranty. No other warranty is either expressed or implied.

LACQUERED FINISHES
The lacquer that Nassau Chromium uses is the best we have been able to obtain and is baked or air dried on to the article being coated. Regular dusting with a soft cloth and occasional application of a good quality wax furnish polish will help prolong the life of the lacquer, which should on no account be treated with metal polishes or abrasive cleaners. It must, however, be borne in mind that however good the lacquer and however well applied, it remains a thin coat of protected material that will eventually break down, particularly when confronted with difficult atmospheric conditions or prolonged exterior exposure. The life of the lacquer is beyond the control of the manufacturer and cannot be guaranteed.

POLISHED CHROME ON ALUMINUM
All polished chrome on aluminum, supplied by Nassau Chromium Plating Co, Inc. will come to you processed to provide the highest level of “show quality” plating that can be achieved. It must, however, be borne in mind that however good the chrome plating may be, aluminum has a tendency to be so anodic and reactive any porosity in the surface will mean a galvanic cell may form, which will eventually cause lateral corrosion of the aluminum under the electro-deposit. Environmental conditions or prolonged exterior exposure may accelerate this process. Due to the nature of aluminum Nassau Chromium Plating reserves the right to conditionally warrantee this finish.

INSTALLATION
Nassau Chromium processes your parts with plating which is much thicker than factory production plating. When reassembling your parts the use of washers is recommended under bolts and screws to protect the finish. Do not over tighten bolts or screws as this can cause cracking around the openings. Nassau Chromium is not responsible for improper installation.
